Hair saviours!!! I went in, in a panic at 9am monday morning after paying for my usual blonde highlights lady to dye me a light brown. Two attempts later, and after being told it couldn’t be fixed (having spent almost £200), I ended up with very red/ginger hair. I cut my losses and went in to Mary handy this morning, having been patch tested before for a different consultation. The lovely Meg fit me in although she was already busy. They fixed it and I couldn’t be more grateful. Susan (who owns the salon) was amazing too and gave me a lovely wash and a a stunning blow dry (and great chat). I absolutely love doing my hair at Mary Handy, I come all the way from Gatwick just to have my hair done by lovely Ben, who has been my one and only hairdresser for the last 4 years. My hair is very thin so not easy to find someone that can give advise and do the right haircut to make it look fuller, but Ben does an amazing job every time! I always leave very happy and relaxed after all the head massages and the nice chats. The salon is so welcoming, so pretty, and with such a relaxing atmosphere. And as a chihuahua owner I also love that Mr. Handy is always there❤️

I've been going to the wonderful Ben at Mary Handy for a couple of years for both cut and colour, and can't recommend him or the salon highly enough. The whole are warm and friendly and I always look forward to my appointments. Recently following a course of weight loss injections, I was distressed to find extreme hair thinning which really knocked my confidence. As well as recommending appropriate products for my hair recovery plan, the salon has now starting offering superb hair toppers and wigs, and I have just had my first hair topper fitted . Ben did a fabulous job of customising the wig by cutting into the style slightly, and although I was a little nervous when first venturing out in it, I can honestly say I have never had more compliments in my life. my confidence has been boosted and I feel and look 10 years younger🥰. ​I just had my first appointment at Mary Handy and it was excellent. I was booked in for a half head of balayage and hair extensions, and both services were fabulous. ​The experience is so relaxing. While you wait for your hair to be coloured or washed, you have the option of using a foot and leg massage machine, which was such a lovely touch. All the products they used smelt divine and the whole team was very friendly. ​A special shout-out to Ben, who is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He made my colour and extensions look perfect! Thank you so much! I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone looking for a new place.

Ben at Mary Handy Hair is an absolutely outstanding hairdresser! I came in with a brassy, orange-toned blonde that I had completely lost hope in, and he transformed it into the most stunning, beautifully blended colour I’ve ever had. The difference is unbelievable. The colour, the cut, and the entire experience were genuinely amazing from start to finish. Ben’s professionalism is next-level — he really takes the time to listen, explain, and make sure you feel comfortable throughout the process. He’s incredibly skilled, meticulous, and has such an eye for what will suit you best. On top of that, he’s warm, friendly, and makes the whole appointment feel relaxed and enjoyable. Honestly, he’s a real lifesaver. I walked out feeling like a new person, and I’ve never been happier with my hair.
